As Agritech continues to play a key role in Southeast Asia, ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems are also becoming increasingly important to boost efficiency, maximize productivity and minimize human error. But when it comes to fresh produce, there is a lack of readily available ERP solutions targeted towards them.
We understand that the operations of perishables come with their own set of unique challenges. To address these challenges, we took it into our own hands to develop GlifeWare, an ERP grade solution that is mobile optimized, food supply focused and integrated. It also works to reduce human intervention as well as improve operational accuracy and customer experience.
Order Management Solution
The Order Management Solution at GifeWare is developed with the objectives in mind: to make it easier for customers to order from Glife and to integrate the ordering process with customers’ existing procurement solutions.
Glife has an online ordering e-commerce page which allows customers to self-order without having to call or WhatsApp in. In addition, customers who use procurement solutions to make their orders can now integrate into GlifeWare without the need for human intervention to manually key in customer Purchase Orders into Glife’s accounting system. This helps to both streamline and maximize new and existing workflows.
ERP Grade Operating System
GlifeWare’s ERP Grade Operating System is developed to split the accounting system from the operational system in such a way that Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Pricing and Inventory all sit at the operational layer (also known as GlifeWare Layer). This means that GlifeWare is lightweight enough to integrate small and big accounting solutions while also doing heavy liftings in managing complex operations.
With GlifeWare being fully mobile optimized, this allows several functions and tasks to be done on the ground, which saves time and keeps everything up to date.
WMS (Operations Management)
To remove the need for human intervention, we also developed an IoT solution where the weighing scale is connected to the Cloud and synced straight to GlifeWare. This means products are weighed and synced in real time before going to actual invoicing. With connective devices and real-time sync to GlifeWare, there is no longer need for packers to manually mark the actual weight.
We also included images of products itself into the system, reducing the learning curve and making it easily identifiable for packers to check if it’s the right products. After this process, the invoices are sent to Delivery Management to optimize delivery.
Delivery Management
Delivery Management helps to keep our deliveries on track and on time, from delivery process to delivery route optimization. Managing conflicts and minimizing disputes has been easier with the capture of delivery images, helping with verification purposes.
Basket Management is also a feature we developed. In our effort to be as environmentally friendly as possible, we utilize baskets to deliver our produce but it can be difficult to know how many baskets are returned to us. Through this feature, it helps us to keep track of how many baskets go out and come back.
Reports & Analytics
From product margin analyses to operational efficiency metrics, having reports and predictive analytics in one system allows us to see how well we’re doing or if there is any room for improvements.
